Quick access panel for kitchen sink plumbing?
Kitchen remodel—want an access panel under the sink cabinet so I don’t have to remove the whole cabinet front every time the trap needs cleaning or a valve fails. Any recommendations for something that fits neatly between studs and isn’t a pain to open?

Under-sink access panels are a game changer. I usually cut one into the back wall of the cabinet rather than the floor. A rectangular plastic model with rounded corners works best because it’s easier to clean around. The one I picked has a simple push-to-open latch—no visible screws on the front. It’s thick enough that it doesn’t bow when you lean on the cabinet shelf. I recently got a durable access panel for drywall sized 14×14 and it fits perfectly in that spot. Just trace it, cut carefully with an oscillating tool, and secure with four screws. Makes plumbing jobs so much faster now.
