Do splatter screens work with very high heat?
I sear steaks and do wok-style cooking at high heat. Worried cheaper screens warp or discolor from the heat. Anyone use one regularly on gas stove at max flame without problems?

High heat is no issue if the material is good stainless and the frame is thick. Thin ones do warp over time. This one holds up fine even when I crank the burner for steak or stir-fry https://www.amazon.com/splatter-screen-for-frying-pan/dp/B0DSWPHZ6K?tag=contractorhub-20 no warping, no discoloration after months of heavy use. The mesh is strong, handle insulated enough, and it covers the pan well during intense cooking. Just don’t leave it on empty screaming-hot pans for ages. Cleans easier than I expected too.
